Morgan Freeman was born in January, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee. The youngest of 5 children born to barber Morgan Porterfield (Morgan Freeman, Sr.) and teacher May me Edna, Morgan Freeman was raised in Chicago and Mississippi in an exceedingly low-income home. Shortly after Morgan Freemanwas born, his elders, like many other African-Americans troubled with the pressures of the Jim Crow south, resettled to Chicago to search for work. Whilst they looked for jobs, Morgan Freeman remained with his maternal grandmother in Charlestown, Mississippi. When he was 6, his grandmother died and he shifted north to be with his mother, who had already separated from her alcoholic husband. Additional moves followed, to Tennessee and eventually back to Mississippi, where May me Edna settled with her family in Timberland.
As a kid, Morgan Freeman spent an honest portion of his time scraping along enough cash to watch movies, where he developed an early admiration for actors like Cooper. He got into acting unintentionally. He was in secondary school and, as a penalty for pulling a chair from beneath a woman he had a crush on, Morgan Freeman was ordered to participate in the school's drama competition. To his surprise, and possibly to that of his faculty directors, the 12-year-old proved to be a natural on the stage, taking prime honors in the program.
But while Morgan Freeman adored acting; flying, particularly the concept of being a combat pilot was his passion. And so, upon graduating from school in 1955, Morgan turned down a partial drama scholarship and joined the Air Force of the U.S. The military, though, proved to be a whole lot different from what he'd expected. Rather than darting round the skies, Morgan Freemanwas relegated to on-the-ground activity as a mechanic and radio location technician. He also did not wish to shoot down people.

In 1987, Freeman's fortunes turned when he was forged in the film “Streetwise” as the volatile pimp quick Black. The role proved to be an immense success, earning him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Film critic missionary Kael even said out loud on air, "Is Morgan the best actor?" Two years later, Morgan Freeman earned additional acclaim; a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and a 2nd Oscar nomination as the kind-hearted, yet stubborn chauffeur in 1989's “Driving Miss Flower”. By the 90s, Morgan Freeman was involved in such huge budget films as 1994's “The Shaw Shank Redemption”.
In 2005, Morgan Freeman won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Clint Eastwood's “Million Greenback Baby”. In 2008, he reprised his role as Locus Fox in “Batman Begins” (2005) for its blockbuster sequel “The Dark Knight Rises”. At the 2012 Golden Globes, Morgan Freeman received the “Cecil B. First State Mille Award” for “outstanding contributions to the globe of recreation”. “I like being eclectic,” he said regarding his selections of film, “the more the variation the better. I have been sucked into a form of a mildew of an honest guy and that is really virtually on the far side of my ability to control. However, aside from that, an honest story and a stimulating character is all I am longing for”. Additionally, Morgan's silver, distinctive voice has made him a natural for narration. Morgan Freeman’s voice is detected on such unforgettable films as “War of the Worlds” and also the Academy Award winning documentary “March of the Penguins”. In 1997, Morgan Freeman co-founded the show production company Revelations recreation, together with its on-line show distribution company.

Off Camera and Other work

While it's going to be a late-blooming success, it's nothing Morgan Freeman is in the slightest degree bitter about. “Success comes once it comes,” he says, “I had a career for 30 year’s career. I usually assume I am in all probability lucky that I wasn't a wild success early, springing up through the 1970s.  I may have terribly simply burned out”. Freeman has a number of charitable endeavours. The actor, who resides within the Mississippi Delta, raised cash for Katrina victims shortly after the devastating cyclone ripped through the world. Through Rock stream Foundation, a company Morgan Freeman started, Freeman's cluster has given millions to instructional programs. And in 2004 he helped organize relief funds for cyclone victims in the country. Freeman's energy extends further. In his home state of Mississippi, the actor co-founded a blues club in Clarksdale. In recent years Morgan Freeman also earned his pilot's license.
While Morgan Freeman's personal life has been turbulent in recent years; his second woman, Myrna, split with him in 2007, and he was in an exceedingly near-fatal automobile accident in Charlestown, Mississippi, the actor shows no signs of slowing down. In 2009, Morgan Freemanteamed up with Clint Eastwood once more, enjoying the role of the South African President in “Invictus”.
